The simple stories of Aesop’s Fables are usually accompanied by bright, entertaining illustrations that bring the tales to life and fascinate young children.

Our new Aesop’s Fables Collection follows that tradition, building over time to include six beautiful coins by the talented designer Heena Raj. Each of Heena’s illustrated designs presents the central message and image of the story in glorious colour. The first coin to be released is ‘The Hare and the Tortoise’, where Tortoise’s ingenuity and dedication overcome Hare’s speed and arrogance. The moral of the story is:

‘slow and steady wins the race’
