Chocolate

We first imported chocolate into London in 1760.  Paying 2 shillings in tax per pound of cocoa imported. The equivalent of a day’s wages at the time.   London’s luxury chocolate houses quickly became haunts of intrigue, gossip, and indulgence.

Since then, our knowledge of luxury chocolates has flourished.  Rediscover chocolate’s earliest hold on our senses through The East India Company’s enchanting chocolate selections, including our Enrobed Chocolates, Truffles and of course our Giant Chocolate Coin Guinea’s!
