Founded 160 years ago in the heart of the northern Côtes du Rhône, Delas Freres today crafts world class wines from both northern and southern Rhône.

Tending the steep sloping vineyards, which total some 30 hectares of vines, the team adapt their growing practices to each plot of vines to let the terroir of the Rhône shine through in the wines.

100% of the grapes are destemmed before the wine-making, which takes place in closed tanks for approximately 15 days. Extraction is helped by daily pumping over. Fermentation temperatures are controlled and maintained between 28°C and 30°C. After pressing and racking, malolactic fermentation takes place in tanks. Maturing takes place in vats in order to preserve the fruit aromas. The wines are racked regularly to allow natural stabilisation of their components.
Recipe/Tasting Notes - The colour is a deep ruby red. The nose reveals powerful aromas of wild berries and spicies, truly typical from the “Syrah” grape. On the palate, strong flavours of blackcurrant and red berries surround a smooth fruit on the back of the wine. The finish has lots of personality.

The Domaine cultivates vineyards on the steep granite slopes of the northern Rhône. Now owning 30 hectares of prime vineyards in the northern Rhône, including 10 hectares on the famed Hermitage hill, the team adapt their growing practices to each plot of vines to let the terroir of the Rhône shine through in the wines. Since 2013 they have been working organically, but are not certified. Additional grapes are supplied through long-term agreements with southern Rhône growers dedicated to providing only top quality grapes.
Crafted by winemakers Jacques Grange and Claire Darnaud, the wines from Delas Frères epitomise finesse and elegance. Recent vintages from the vineyards of Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Côte Rôtie, Condrieu, Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Ventoux have been lauded in the press for their intensity of flavour and excellent value, and are regarded as some of the most refined in the region.

    We apologise, but unfortunately our wine cannot be delivered outside of the UK at this time. We hope this change in the future and we will update our website as soon as this is the case.

    Yes, you can include [you should include!] a bottle of wine in a gift hamper for friends and family. Unfortunately, we cannot ship wine internationally at this time, so with apologies we cannot include wine in hampers that are destined for countries outside of the UK.
