Ramos Pinto was founded in 1880 by brothers Adriano and Antonio, bringing a new era of quality wine production to the Douro. Ramos Pinto’s long and distinguished history was further strengthened when the house became part of the Louis Roederer Family in 1990 who share the family history, focus on quality and investment in the future. Today, Adriano and Antonio’s descendants Jorge and Ana Rosas continue their pioneering spirit and search for the highest quality in the Douro as CEO and Master Blender respectively.

Ramos Pinto holds the largest proportion of vineyards in relation to its production, giving it a high degree of control over viticultural methods and harvest timing. The house tends 187 hectares of prime vineyards in the Alto Corgo and Douro Superior areas of the famed Douro region, the mountainous valley formed by the Douro River and its tributaries.
Recipe/Tasting Notes - Reddish tawny to the rim. The rich aroma has a ripe fruit tones with spicy vanilla notes. On the palate, its smooth sweet texture shows mellow ripe fruit with a ripe raisin and spicy wood tone and a bright fresh finish with hints of sweet red fruits and dark chocolate.
20% ABV. Grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca. Sulphites. Alcohol.

Founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto, this Port House has always had a pioneering spirit – from the distinctive and stylish ‘art nouveau’ advertising from the 1900s to the continuing wide ranging vineyard research with results that have benefited the whole port trade.
Champagne Louis Roederer, now the majority shareholder, perpetuates this philosophy and ensures continuity in a company renowned for wine-making excellence.

    Can your wine be delivered to international addresses?
    We apologise, but unfortunately our wine cannot be delivered outside of the UK at this time. We hope this change in the future and we will update our website as soon as this is the case.

    Yes, you can include [you should include!] a bottle of wine in a gift hamper for friends and family. Unfortunately, we cannot ship wine internationally at this time, so with apologies we cannot include wine in hampers that are destined for countries outside of the UK.

    We are sorry, this product cannot be delivered outside of mainland UK.
